camera bag\u00c2\u00a0 at home.\u00c2\u00a0 Instead I will clip a Canon PowerShot S95 to my belt determined to only \u00e2\u20ac\u0153draw it\u00e2\u20ac\u009d when something is absolutely stunning.\u00c2\u00a0 Well, isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t everything stunning?<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_366\" style=\"width: 345px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Koi-web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-366\" class=\"size-full wp-image-366\" title=\"March 3 - Koi web\" src=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Koi-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"335\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Koi-web.jpg 335w, http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Koi-web-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 335px) 100vw, 335px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-366\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">KOI circle in Tea Garden<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The captures I am sharing from last week were taken on my morning walks when the sun was pretty determined not to rise from behind its morning cloud coverage.\u00c2\u00a0 Along the walk from Crissy field to Fort Point I noticed it was low tide and more of the beach was accessible.\u00c2\u00a0 As the sun began to rise it shone through a sliver of clearing between the distant East Bay Hills and the cloud coverage.\u00c2\u00a0 The small aperture, and wide angle provided maximum depth of field and the &#8220;staring&#8221; effect of the sun.\u00c2\u00a0 From a low angle you could see the sun\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s orange rays reflected on the wet beach.<\/p>\n<p>The KOI image was taken at the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park on a rainy dreary day.\u00c2\u00a0 The tea garden opens at 9 AM and if you are lucky you might even get in a little earlier when the gardener opens the door and invites you in.\u00c2\u00a0 Right now everything is so meditatively beautiful with cherry blossoms and emerald green grasses and deep purple Iris blooming.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_369\" style=\"width: 349px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Sausalito-SR2-web1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-369\" class=\"size-full wp-image-369\" title=\"March 3 - Sausalito SR2 web\" src=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Sausalito-SR2-web1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"339\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Sausalito-SR2-web1.jpg 339w, http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/March-3-Sausalito-SR2-web1-203x300.jpg 203w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 339px) 100vw, 339px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-369\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sausalito Pilings at Sunrise<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It was so dark I thought about keeping that PowerShot in its case.\u00c2\u00a0 But you can make creative choices with that kind of dim light.\u00c2\u00a0 Seeing the koi in the pond I choose to set the camera at ISO 100 and the smallest aperture opening.\u00c2\u00a0 This gave me a slow shutter spend which would definitely make every image blurry.\u00c2\u00a0 So I rotated the camera while photographing the koi and a tree reflection in the pond.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese are revered for breeding beautiful varieties of koi fish. The Japanese Koi is a symbol of strength and the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Nishikigoi&#8221; is the most decorative and sought after for individual and park ponds.
