{"id":389,"date":"2012-04-28T03:06:00","date_gmt":"2012-04-28T03:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/?p=389"},"modified":"2012-04-28T17:11:31","modified_gmt":"2012-04-28T17:11:31","slug":"april-week-4-wet-and-windy-yet-exquisite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/?p=389","title":{"rendered":"April Week 4 &#8211; Wet and Windy yet Exquisite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/April-4-YellowPurple-web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-390\" title=\"April 4 - YellowPurple web\" src=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/April-4-YellowPurple-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/April-4-YellowPurple-web.jpg 345w, http:\/\/stacy.awegallery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/April-4-YellowPurple-web-207x300.jpg 207w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/a>Water and wind can be two of the most frustrating elements for a photographer yet at the same time they are two of the most creative tools in image making. \u00c2\u00a0I encountered both these elements this week at the same time.\u00c2\u00a0 Although resigned to be blown home by the coastal gales, colors and patterns kept presenting themselves to my viewfinder.<\/p>\n<p>Right now the wild Douglas Irises are peaking at Point Reyes in the pastures, along the roads and at the cliffsides. \u00c2\u00a0But they were hysterically dancing the zumba. (Zumba combines Latin and International music with a fun and effective workout system.)<\/p>\n<p>The fog was low and dripping which made every thing wet. This low fog makes neat little dew drops which are impossible to photograph using a flash.\u00c2\u00a0 (Even a diffused or fill flash get\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s reflected in the water and droplets). \u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0So what to do?<\/p>\n<p>I set a wide open aperture (2.8) on my macro lens.
